Although thinking about an interview can be difficult for most of us, preparing for an interview is not as difficult as it sounds. For this, everyone needs to stay organized and active.

Before the interview


Company information: The most important step is to read and research the company you are interviewing for. Go to the company’s website, blog, and social media page to assess your products, services, and client-base. In addition, read the recently released press for information about projected growth and stability.

Know the interviewer:If you already know the name of the interviewer, then research about it. Visit her profile on Naukri or LinkedIn and find out if the person is an HR professional or technical manager. Prepare for the interview accordingly.

Evaluate job description:   The recruiter tries to refer to the detailed job description for a reason. They are looking for someone who perfectly fits the job profile and role. Therefore, make a good effort to go through the job description so that you are familiar with the position that is for the company.

Fit in skills and qualities: When you analyze the job description, outline the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Check the hierarchy and determine where the position lies within the organization. Analyze what the employer is asking in terms of your qualifications. Tweak your resume accordingly.

Make a list of questions: Make a list of the questions you can expect to throw, according to the company’s background and job role. Research answers to these questions through company websites, social media pages, company news, etc.




Mock interview: Find a friend or family member and hand them a list of questions you have prepared. Ask them to play the role of an interviewer. Practice answering all the questions on the list. You can also record your answers to analyze them further.

Interview dress: Choose a formal dress for the interview. If you are not sure about the color, wear black formal trousers and a crisp shirt, preferably in white, blue, pastel or nude colors. Both men and women can go for this combination. Pair your dress with a light deodorant or perfume, black formal shoes, clean socks, and a black belt. Plug it into that iron. Make sure your clothes are clean and properly ironed. Make sure your overall appearance is clean.

The most important thing is to wear a beam and smile with confidence. 🙂

Sleep and eat well: One night before the interview, get at least 6 to 7 hours of sleep. Eat something an hour before the interview so that you have the energy and patience to sit down. Take a bottle of water or juice to keep yourself hydrated.


During the interview


Arrive on time: It is best to arrive 20-25 minutes before the interview time. This will give you time to rest. You can also use the time to test yourself in the mirror and freshen up before the process begins.

Maintain a good body posture: While waiting for your turn, sit properly, and maintain good body posture. Be polite to guards, receptionists, and other candidates. put a smile on your face.

In the interview room, answer the questions confidently. Be firm, yet polite. If you don’t know an answer, be honest about it and pass on the question. Keep your statements crisp, short and precise

Ending the interview: At the end of the interview, shake the interview citing the hand and thank him for his time and consideration.

After the interview


Analyze interview:  This is one of the most important exercises for posting an interview. Sit for a few minutes and write down the questions you asked during the interview. Also, assess your responses to these questions and make points of things you forgot to mention or would have said better. This will help you prepare better for future interviews.

Get ready to follow up after the interview: If you do not hear from the interviewer within the expected days, do not hesitate to leave an email and ask for an update.

Inform your references: Be sure to inform your references in advance that they can receive a call from the company you interviewed for. Talk to them about the situation and emphasize the points you want to recommend.
